Salad Variations

Stone Fruit: The base of this fruit salad is fresh peaches, but you can easily substitute them with any stone fruit like nectarines, plums, cherries, or even mangoes.

Herbs: If you want a twist on flavor, swap the mint for fresh basil. Both add a bright, refreshing touch to the salad.

Berries: Mix and match your favorite berries! Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries all work beautifully to add color and sweetness.

Citrus: To keep the fruits vibrant and prevent browning, toss the salad with a splash of fresh lemon juice or lime juice.

Sweetener: If you prefer a sweeter fruit salad or if you’re planning to serve it over Greek yogurt or frozen yogurt, then add a drizzle of honey or agave syrup for a light, syrupy coating.

Additional Ingredients: Feel free to add some extra texture and flavor with shredded coconut, pistachios, or cashews.

Fruit Salad with Peaches and Berries FAQ

What Fruits Mix Well with Peaches?

Since peaches are a stone fruit, it pairs perfectly with plums, mangoes, and even pineapple. Their natural sweetness and juicy texture also goes well with tropical fruits like kiwi and passionfruit.

How Can I Prevent Fruits from Oxidizing and Turning Brown?

To keep fruits fresh and prevent browning (oxidizing), toss them in a little citrus juice like lemon, lime, or orange juice. The natural acids in citrus slow down the oxidation process, helping the fruits stay colorful and appealing for longer.
