The sweetness and stickiness of the honey with maple syrup, and rich melted butter, will convince any picky eater to have a plate full of carrots on the dinner table. My recipe only requires one bowl, a sheet pan and parchment paper. So for your next meal, serve up this quick side dish and indulge!

  • Carrots – For this recipe, whole, peeled carrots are recommended.
  • Butter– I used unsalted butter, but salted butter or margarine can be used.
  • Oil– Avocado oil is recommended due to its high heat point but extra virgin olive oil will work just fine.
  • Honey– Use your favourite type of honey. Hot honey would be a great addition!
  • Maple– Use high-quality maple syrup for that extra sweet flavour.
  • Dijon mustard– Dijon mustard adds an amazing tang and slight spice.
  • Parsley– Dried or fresh parsley can be used (Note: fresh parsley will wilt and may burn in the oven).
  • Sea Salt– We used sea salt in this recipe. You can use table salt or flakey salt as well.
  • Chilli flakes– This recipe uses chilli flakes. Sambal olek or hot sauce can be used instead.
