This Easy Rice Krispie Treat Recipe is the perfect no-bake dessert for Easter! Homemade rice krispie treats are a nostalgic favorite and it's still hard to resist the temptation of devouring an entire tray of gooey Rice Krispie squares.
Cook Time 10 minutes mins
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter or margarine
- 250 grams Mini marshmallows
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
- 135 grams (5 cups) Rice krispies
Line an 8x8-inch baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease the parchment.
In a large pot over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Once melted, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the marshmallows. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and have a thick, glue-like texture.

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste, 135 grams (5 cups) Rice krispies, pinch of salt
Pour the mixture into the tray and press it down into an even layer using a spatula, or wet your hands with water and gently press. Let it set for about an hour, then slice into squares with a sharp knife.
